As the dust settles following last weekend's Echoes of the Glen Festival, it is just left to say a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in the organization, preparation, and promotion of the event, as well as those who decorated the village, volunteered at events, produced work/cakes, performed, tidied up and last but not least, attended the various events which took place at seven venues across the village.

All of the fabulous events were well attended and supported. I am sure we will all have our favourite memories of what was a fun weekend and a great way to celebrate past and present life in our villages.

Although not intended primarily as a fundraising event, a marvellous total of £1,171.37 was raised over the weekend. Donations were made to Lochaber Hope, Lochaber Young Carers, Scottish Historic Organs Trust, and Kentallen & Duror Community SCIO.

All in all, a memorable and enjoyable weekend for us all. A very fitting tribute to the 1951 Festival and life today in our vibrant community!
