There are occasions when it is acceptable to exclude or ‘excise’ specific areas from the scope of an evaluation without the necessary loss of FSC certification for the remaining area. Please see attached proposed excisions summary document. The proposed excisions will be evaluated against the requirements of the FSC Policy on Excision which can be found in the FSC document centre: https://fsc.org/en/document-centre

The Soil Association would welcome any comments you have on;

1. forest management carried out by Forestry and Land Scotland and/or sites    and/or
2. the Standards being used (you can view this at http://ukwas.org.uk/ )
