Important Update Regarding the 2026 Crofting Commission Annual Notice
The 2026 Annual Notice will be sent to crofters in early January 2026.
Please note that completing the Annual Notice is a mandatory requirement for all crofters who receive a letter instructing them to do so.
To help ensure a smooth process for everyone, we are currently encouraging all crofters to update their details on the Register of Crofts.
Updating details on the Register of Crofts is a quick and easy process:
- Check your current details. Visit the Register of Crofts at https://www.crofting.scotland.gov.uk/register-of-crofts and search for your croft to view the information we currently hold.
- Verify the information. If the contact and croft details are correct, there is nothing more you need to do at this time.
- Update your details if necessary. If you find that any of the information is out of date, you should make an application to change the details. This can be done quickly and easily using the online application process. The form is straightforward and will be processed as a priority.
