Notice of Roadworks A828 Sutherlands Grove North Barcaldine starting 19th May

BEAR Scotland, working on behalf of Transport Scotland, are to undertake road safety improvements on a bend at A828 Sutherlands Grove North, Barcaldine.
The work will involve the installation of a safety barrier in the verge.
The project is due to get underway on Monday 19th May and is expected to take up to 10 days to complete with works due to be complete by 4pm on Friday 30th May.
The improvements will generally be carried out between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with no works being carried out at the weekend.
The A828 will remain open throughout the works however, to keep road workers and the travelling public safe, the works will involve a northbound lane closure with temporary traffic lights and a 30mph speed limit in place. The temporary traffic lights will be in place 24 hours a day and removed at the weekend. The speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place for safety reasons due to partially completed works involving open excavations and potentially having large machinery being in place at the site.
Details can be found in the attached letter and location plan.
